Taking care further.

CareChoice has been supporting people with disability since 2007.

Today, we support people across Victoria with everyday disability support, complex care, specialist services and housing.

A lot has changed in that time. One thing hasn’t: our belief that good support should give people more choice, more independence and more say in the life they want to live.

Care is in our name. It’s also the standard we set ourselves.

CareChoice is a Victorian disability services provider supporting people with a wide range of needs, including people who require complex and high-intensity support.

We provide disability support, specialist services and housing, working alongside the person, their family and the wider team around them.

Today, CareChoice supports people across metropolitan Melbourne and regional Victoria, with services available across Melbourne, Geelong, the Mornington Peninsula, Bendigo, Ballarat and key regional areas.

But what we provide is only part of the story.

How support is delivered matters too. Who shows up. Whether they listen. How well people know you. Whether you have a say. And whether the support you’re receiving is helping you live more of the life you choose.

That’s the standard we keep working towards.

Vision

Your life. Your call.

We believe people should have a genuine say in their lives and in the support they receive.

That means listening to what matters to you. Respecting your rights and choices. Supporting informed decisions. And shaping support around your needs, preferences, goals and circumstances.

Because person-centred support should mean more than putting the words person-centred on a website.

It should be something you can actually feel in the way you’re supported.

Mission

Quality by every measure

There are standards every registered disability provider needs to meet. We believe they should be the starting point.

CareChoice invests in additional ways to monitor, learn from and improve the support we provide.

Our CareChoice Homes of Excellence program regularly reviews the quality of our homes and the support being delivered within them, looking at everything from dignity and respect to staff training, processes, home quality and progress towards individual goals.

We also use customer feedback, quality systems and independent external audits to understand what’s working and where we can do better.

Because saying you provide quality care is easy. Everyone does it. Being able to show it matters more.

What matters to us

Values only mean something when they show up in what you do. These four guide how we support people, make decisions and work together.

People First

Start with the person. Listen properly. Respect their choices and keep what matters to them at the centre.

Brilliant Together

Good support is a team effort. We share what we know, bring the right people together and make each other better.

Bring Our Best, Always

Care about the details. Keep learning. Take responsibility. Never settle for “good enough” when we know we can do better.

Relentless Optimism

Look for what’s possible. Find another way. Keep moving forward, even when the path isn’t straightforward.

Customer voice

If it’s your support, you should have a say in making it better.

Our Customer Reference Group gives people who use CareChoice services, and members of their support networks, a direct way to share ideas, experiences and feedback.

The group connects with our Board and Executive Team, helping customer perspectives influence how we plan, improve and deliver support.

Inclusion

Everyone should feel like they belong.

People bring different identities, cultures, histories, families, beliefs, bodies and ways of experiencing the world.

CareChoice is committed to creating services where people are treated with dignity and respect, and where individual culture, identity, sexuality, gender, ability and preferences are recognised.

We respect Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples and the right of every person to maintain and practise their cultural beliefs.

Being yourself shouldn’t be something you have to leave at the door.
